PERFORMANCE
Through his career at Crosspoint Venture Partners, Seth Neiman has helped create more than a dozen communications-oriented start ups. His investing focus is network equipment, optical systems, and broadband enabled service businesses. Under Neiman, Crosspoint Venture Partners has become an early stage equity investor with focused expertise in two strategic areas: the Internet and Health Care. The partnership now has a capital base of more than $500 million, and is sponsored by institutions, pension funds, university endowments, foundations and individuals.

HERITAGE
After joining the firm in 1994, Neiman conceived of and became the founding CEO of Brocade Communications Systems. Since then, he has also been the lead investor and board member of a number of leading broadband networking companies, including Foundry Networks, Avanex, iPass, Shoreline, Juniper and NexPrise. Prior to Crosspoint, Neiman spent 17 years as an entrepreneur and engineering VP in both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.

ENGINEERING
Neiman has a B.A. in philosophy from Ohio State University, where he also studied computer science as a graduate.
